When both parties are ready, we help coordinate a first in-person visit in a neutral, comfortable setting. No pressure, no rushing.

Co-living agreement

Before anyone moves in, our advocates help both parties draft a plain-English co-living agreement covering rent, chores, guests, quiet hours, and exit terms.

Move-in day

Your advocate is available by phone on move-in day — and for the 30 days that follow — for any questions, concerns, or adjustments.

If day-to-day friction develops, your advocate can schedule a mediated conversation to work through differences before they become problems.

Financial disputes

If cost-sharing arrangements break down, we help both parties revisit the co-living agreement and find a fair path forward.

If one member's health needs change significantly, we help coordinate a respectful, planned transition — for both the person leaving and the person staying.

Exiting a match

Either party can initiate an exit at any time. We provide a standard 30-day notice framework and help both sides find their next step.

A note on insurance and legal protection.

Adding a housemate to your home may affect your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy. We strongly recommend speaking with a licensed independent insurance agent before move-in day to make sure your coverage is up to date.

  • Does my policy cover a paying housemate?
  • Am I liable if my housemate is injured at home?
  • Does a co-living arrangement affect my coverage limits?
